A quick fire double over the Police.The writing was on the wall after 14 minutes when Spencer Goff had a goal disallowed for a dubious offside decision. On 17 minutes a Cheeseman lob produced a great save from Joe Parlatt.

On 19 minutes Goff shot from 20 yards into bottom corner. Just 5 minutes later and from a Goff cross, Parlatt parried into the path of Jake Keetley 10 yards out for 2-0. Before the half hour it was 3 as from a Goff free kick, Nathan George produced a towering header. It was 4 before the break as on 34 minutes another great break from Linby saw Goff cross to the back post for Dickens to plant his header into the net.

On 55 minutes Police reduced the arrears through Nathan Scott. 10 minutes later and there was a goal of the season candidate from Spencer Goff. Fully 35 yards out he sees Parlatt off his line and produced a 1st time volley into the top corner. On 85 minutes Goff completes his hattrick from a flick on by Jamie Start. Ther must have been 10 minutes of stoppage time from which Police got a consolation through Wayne Bennett 6-2.
