J. Wright, T. Campbell
Same score line as last season's friendly between the sides. Linby went a goal down early on when a needlessly conceded free kick wide on the left was sloppily defended. After again taking time to settle, the side started to create a few chances, notably a miss from close range by Jake Keetley. Julien Wright then scored a goal out of nothing as he shrugged off the attentions of the last defender to race away and nonchalently chip the 'keeper from an acute angle. Not long after Julien was sent away by Kyle McDermott's pass as Linby broke from an Ollerton corner. This time Julien passed to Tom Campbell who slotted past the keeper. HT. 2-1
Linby came out strong in the second half and nearly put the tie to bed as both Kyle McDermott and Julien Wright had chances in quick concession. Wholesale changes were made and as is usually the case the side lost it's way a bit, particularly with some rough tactics starting to be employed by the opposition. With about 10 minutes to go, Ricky Chambers pounced at the far post at the second attempt to snatch a draw for Ollerton. Full Time 2-2.
